The blog explains that while measuring impact is popular, it doesn't always lead to real change. It is a theoretical exploration around what is really important to track and why.
For social enterprises, there are three key lessons:
- Data isn't enough: True progress comes from challenging beliefs, not just collecting numbers.
- Value is more than money: Numbers and rankings can miss important details; storytelling and qualitative data matter.
- Focus on learning: Instead of strict goals, adapt and learn quickly to tackle complex issues.
These ideas can help social enterprises better understand and improve their work for long-term impact.
