Who we are
Social Good Outpost is an Australian strategic and creative communications studio. It works with social enterprises, businesses and government to provide impact measurement (tracking and evaluating the social or environmental change an organisation creates), communication design, strategic mentoring, and the curation of international diplomacy programs.
Founded in 2016 by sisters Lara Stephenson and Dr Elise Stephenson, Social Good Outpost is a women-led team. It operates across three departments:
- Social Good Outpost Studio, which leads design and communication services
- Social Good Outpost Impact, which leads impact measurement and support work with organisations
- Social Good Outpost Curates, which leads public projects, creative diplomacy, strategy and event delivery
The team has travelled across Australia in tiny homes, caravans and on the road to reach rural and regional communities, and its members live regionally. Social Good Outpost has a particular focus on empowering women and LGBTIQ+ people, and on connecting with and supporting Indigenous and ethnic minority communities.
The team is made up of social entrepreneurs, designers, researchers and strategists. It has run more than 76 workshops with communities, businesses and government across Southeast Asia, covering topics such as gender equality and entrepreneurship, LGBTIQ+ inclusion, climate action, social enterprise, and leadership.

The team draws on its experience in social enterprise and social impact to create practical solutions that client teams can own and grow. Social Good Outpost partners with organisations to develop a clear plan of action for their goals, and helps them build the skills to manage their own design and digital solutions.
