Who we are

Shapes and Sounds is a social enterprise that works to destigmatise mental health for Asian communities. It provides mental health programs and resources designed by culturally responsive mental health professionals, for people of Asian and Asian diaspora identities.

The organisation is led by a team of culturally responsive and trauma-informed mental health practitioners, who together bring more than 30 years' experience across a broad range of mental health settings.

Shapes and Sounds exists for anyone at any point in their mental health journey, whether they are new to the idea of therapy or looking for support to facilitate deeper growth.

What we do

Shapes and Sounds takes a supportive, non-linear approach to mental health, designed to meet people wherever they are on their journey. Its resources and programs cater to different stages of self-discovery and healing, from those new to therapy to those seeking deeper change.

The organisation also runs the Asian Australian Mental Health Practitioner List, which connects people with a diverse network of Asian Australian psychologists, counsellors and mental health social workers across Australia.
