Who we are
batyr is a mental health organisation dedicated to empowering young people to take charge of their mental well-being.
Our vision is a world where all young people are encouraged to seek help and support for their mental health.
Our mission is to create a society that is knowledgeable, aware, and equipped to address mental health issues.
Founded by young people for young people, our team comprises passionate advocates and peer supporters who understand the unique challenges faced by today’s youth. We believe that “mental health is just as important as physical health,” and we strive to create a culture where young people feel comfortable sharing their stories and seeking help. Through our initiatives, we aim to break the stigma surrounding mental health, fostering a safe and inclusive environment for all.
What we do
At batyr, we engage, educate, and empower young people through a range of innovative programs and workshops. Our flagship initiative, the “batyr@school” program, brings trained peer speakers into schools to share their personal experiences with mental health, fostering an open dialogue among students.
We also offer community events, online resources, and training for educators and youth workers to promote mental health awareness. By creating a supportive network and providing accessible tools, we aim to equip young people with the knowledge and skills to manage their mental health effectively.
Our ultimate mission is to create a culture where seeking help is normalised, and every young person feels supported on their mental health journey.
