Young people bring fresh ideas, energy, and leadership to social enterprises. But too often, they’re only seen as beneficiaries, not partners in change-making.

This learning community helped social enterprises unlock the potential of young people - supporting them to lead, share ideas, and drive change. Together, it:

Identified the barriers and opportunities for meaningful youth engagement.
Built clear, effective channels to connect and engage with young people.
Shared tools to attract, train, and retain young talent.
Found practical strategies to embed youth voice and leadership.
Created real pathways that enable youth to lead, grow, and make an impact.

Future Minds Network is an award-winning education provider that equips young people with entrepreneurial skills to thrive. They provide training, mentorship, and real-world opportunities - helping young Australians overcome barriers and succeed.

How did this learning community work?

This learning community was a dynamic space where social enterprises could connect, grow, and learn how to engage young people effectively.

Online community of practice sessions ran from April 2025 to March 2026, offering a structured space for learning, sharing experiences, and discussing youth engagement strategies.
Peer-led masterclasses gave members the chance to take turns leading sessions on topics they were experts in, sharing practical tools and tips.
FMN’s resource library provided easy access to guides, templates, and case studies for organisations.

Together, the community supported each other to drive real change for youth.
