Tara Spokes

Founding Director

The Data Conversation

Tara was inspired to start The Data Conversation after seeing the struggles that many small community organisations were experiencing with their reporting requirements, and the missed opportunities to use data to support social justice initiatives. In addition to technical expertise in data governance and data analytics, Tara has a background in teaching statistics, with strong skills in explaining complex data concepts in accessible and user-friendly terms.

The Data Conversation

Ruth has a background in evaluation, impact measurement and research communication. Through her experience supporting for-purpose organisations, she saw how often the practical challenges of managing and using data became barriers to understanding and improving outcomes. In her work at The Data Conversation, Ruth aims to make impact measurement practical, useful and realistic.
