View resourceSummary
This video lecture series by Dieter Helm, accompanied by a set of downloadable slides, explores what a sustainable economy could look like and what would it take to live within our environmental means.
He looks at why polluters have to pay, why the current generation needs to fund the necessary maintenance of our natural resources/assets, and why we need to save to invest. The content is detailed and the message is a tough one - we are currently far from meeting the conditions necessary for a sustainable economy, and there will be consequences if we do not address these issues. A downloadable book on these topics is also available here.
