Leading on Inclusive AI is a resource and campaign page from Champions of Change Coalition, developed in partnership with Women's Leadership Institute Australia. It centres on the idea that AI tools, such as ChatGPT, Copilot or Claude, are trained on historical data and can reinforce outdated gender roles and stereotypes without deliberate action to prevent this. The resource positions AI adoption as a rare opportunity to build gender equality in from the start.
The resource offers two practical tools. The first is the Inclusive AI Pledge, a personal leadership commitment to embed equality and inclusion into everyday AI use and to encourage others to do the same. The second is the Inclusive AI Prompt, a templated prompt designed to be used when interacting with AI tools. It has been tested across more than 100 real-world scenarios, covering areas such as policy, procurement, communications and product design.
The resource is most relevant to organisational leaders, people and culture practitioners, and anyone in a decision-making role who regularly uses AI tools in their work.
