Who we are

Our mission is to promote reuse, reduce waste, and empower children and families to adopt eco-friendly practices, while bringing joy to the wider community. Led by passionate founder Jacky Lo, we strive to foster connection, joy, and environmental responsibility.

What we do

Joy of Giving is excited to announce the opening of our first sustainability hub, dedicated to educating families and children about reuse and spreading joy to more children. Our programs, including Toy Swaps and educational workshops, are designed to inspire environmental awareness and promote sustainable practices. By reducing landfill waste and encouraging reuse, we aim to create a positive impact on local communities. Through these initiatives, we empower families, strengthen connections, and build a more sustainable future for all.

The Joy of Giving Hub is the home of Toy Swaps. It serves as a sustainability hub where families, schools, and community organisations come together to learn about sustainability through toy swaps, educational activities, events, and workshops.

Since 2019, we have hosted Toy Swap events across Sydney, promoting the reuse of toys and books. Through these events, we have exchanged thousands of items, diverting thousands of kilograms from landfills.

We actively support our community organisations by offering valuable resources, including preloved and brand-new items donated by our caring community members. Our inventory includes toys of all sizes, bicycles, and books, all ready to find new homes.
