Who we are
Green Collect is a leading circular economy practitioner based in Victoria, Australia, dedicated to environmental sustainability and social inclusion. Established in 2001 by co-founders Sally Quinn and Darren Andrews, our mission is to minimise landfill by enabling the reuse and recycling of office and household goods, while creating employment opportunities for individuals facing barriers to employment.
As a certified social enterprise through Social Traders and a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission, we are committed to fostering a sustainable and inclusive society.
Our innovative processes have enabled us to divert over 10 million items from landfill, achieving a 93% resource recovery rate. By hand-processing each item, we assess its potential for reuse, remanufacture, or recycling, ensuring the best environmental outcomes. Through our efforts, we not only protect the environment but also provide meaningful employment and training for over 50 individuals annually, contributing to a more equitable and resilient community.

What we do
At Green Collect, we offer comprehensive circular solutions for organisations and communities, focusing on sustainable management of surplus and discarded items.
- Office clean out services: We assist businesses in responsibly disposing of excess office materials, including stationery, IT equipment, and furniture. Our meticulous hand-processing ensures that 95% of collected items are diverted from landfill, promoting reuse and recycling.
- Office furniture collection: We collect surplus quality furniture, refurbishing and preparing each piece for reuse, thereby extending its lifecycle and reducing environmental impact.
- Circular stores: Our retail outlets in Yarraville and Braybrook offer a diverse range of quality second-hand, upcycled, and ethical products, including furniture, electronics, stationery, clothing, and household items. These stores provide affordable, sustainable shopping options, enabling customers to actively participate in the circular economy.
- Circular recycling stations: We establish and manage permanent collection points in municipal buildings, facilitating the recycling of challenging items such as CDs, VHS tapes, x-rays, and electronics. Our regular collection and processing services ensure these materials are handled with the utmost environmental responsibility.
- Circular economy training and consulting: We provide educational programs and consultancy services to organisations seeking to integrate circular economy principles into their operations. Our training modules cover waste assessment, sustainable procurement, and asset management, equipping businesses with the knowledge and tools to implement long-term sustainable practices.
Through these initiatives, Green Collect empowers communities and organisations to adopt environmentally responsible practices, contributing to a sustainable future for all.
