Who we are
We are a registered environmental charity. We have a mission to reduce carbon emissions through reducing unnecessary paint production by enabling reuse of high quality surplus paint. Paint is a very high carbon material, and treatment of waste paint prior to disposal in landfill has a further carbon cost.
Circle Paints is jointly run by two Managing Directors, supported by a team of volunteers.
What we do
We list our paint on our online catalogue and sell it via click and collect or through our shopfront in St Peters in Sydney's Inner West.
We ship paint to cities on the Eastern Seaboard of Australia.
Our activities align with SDG Goals 12 (Responsible consumption and production) and 13 (Climate action).
Our key metrics are litres of paint diverted from landfill, with 1 litre of diverted paint avoiding over 2.5kg of carbon emissions.

Circle Paints: where did the idea of paint reuse come from?
ArticlesWhen the founders - Cat and Kate - pitched the idea of paint reuse to Leeds Council, they were met with skepticism. But in a short period of time they had grown from a team of two to a team of ten running a busy depot. Seagulls has been a thriving community hub ever since.
