Economic Pathways to Refugee Integration (EPRI)

Economic Pathways to Refugee Integration (EPRI) helps social enterprises create jobs for refugees and humanitarian entrants facing work barriers.

EPRI knows many newcomers to Australia have valuable skills and experience. Yet, they often struggle to find secure jobs. Common challenges include disrupted work histories, limited qualifications, low confidence in English, and difficulties accessing regular job pathways.

EPRI supports social enterprises in offering jobs, training, work experience, and tailored support. This helps individuals build confidence, earn income, and secure long-term employment. The program is crucial for work integration social enterprises (WISEs) and others that promote inclusive employment.

In practice, EPRI shows how social enterprises can foster a more inclusive economy. It creates pathways to decent work, strengthens communities, and values people's abilities.
