Young Change Agents Ltd: K-12 Education
A national learning community for social enterprises working in K–12 education across Australia. Convened by Young Change Agents, this group connected, supported, and grew the collective impact of education-focused social enterprises through regular collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
About the learning community
This learning community brought together social enterprises working to create meaningful change in Australia’s K–12 education system. Whether through tutoring, teacher development, edtech solutions, school consulting, or student-focused programs, members of this community were united by a shared mission: to make education more equitable, innovative, and impactful.
With a focus on connection, collaboration, and shared learning, this community offered a supportive environment for organisations working at the intersection of education and social enterprise to grow their impact and amplify what works across the sector.
About the convenor

It was convened by Margaret O’Brien, founder and CEO of Young Change Agents - a leading national not-for-profit social enterprise working in more than 1,700 schools across Australia. Margaret brings extensive experience in youth-focused innovation and social entrepreneurship, as well as a deep commitment to collaboration and sector development.
Under her leadership, this community was designed to strengthen connections between education-focused social enterprises and build a powerful ecosystem for shared growth and systemic change.
How did this learning community work?
This learning community hosted seven 90-minute online Community of Practice (CoP) sessions between May 2025 and April 2026. Each session provided a space for members to explore emerging challenges, celebrate success stories, and build partnerships that advance collective goals.
