STREAT: WISE models of supported training and employment pathways

This is a learning community for practitioners working in social enterprises that help others into training and jobs. This group is a chance to share ideas, learn from each other, and feel supported in your work. Whether you’re new to the space or have been doing it for years, you’ll be part of a community that helps each other grow, stay motivated, and create real impact — all while having a bit of fun along the way.

About the learning community

Welcome to STREAT's Community of Practice (CoP), designed for practitioners in Work Integration Social Enterprises (WISEs) who run training and employment programs for people facing barriers to work. This CoP aims to offer peer learning and skill development while providing essential doses of connection, motivation, and hope. Whether you're a newcomer with fresh insights or a seasoned professional with deep wisdom to share, you're invited to join.

The structured co-created sessions ensure a dynamic exchange where expertise is shared and support requests are warmly received, including an all-popular round of ‘give-and-get’. This approach promotes diverse perspectives, strengthening leadership and decision-making within the community. Having a dedicated space to connect, collaborate, tackle challenges, and celebrate wins—big and small—helps remind us why this work matters.

Join STREAT in building a supportive, knowledgeable network committed to creating lasting impact. The goal is for individuals to learn something, share their wisdom and experience, feel less lonely, and enjoy a bit of fun along the way.
