Together Academy: Indigenous Enterprise Leadership

This learning community focuses on First Nations social enterprises that are navigating growth and scale - shifting from start-up to investing in systems and strategic decisions for impact and sustainability.

About the learning community

This learning community will bring together 8-10 First Nations enterprises to share knowledge on building financial strength and embracing technology, exploring a range of topics including:

  • Scaling businesses - should we scale? Which parts of the business could be replicated well? How might embracing technology support this?
  • Early indicators to seek assistance from external advisors, explore collaborations, shared service arrangements, technology or other options to strengthen business sustainability and efficiency.
  • Juggling financial and operational sustainability with social impact.
  • Resilience, sustaining self, and making tough decisions for the future of the business.

This learning community is led by Rory Chapman, with support from Sarah Hyland. Rory and Sarah are both Directors of Together Academy and bring complementary expertise through Embrace Tech and Together Business.

Embrace Tech works alongside organisations to ensure technology supports scale and sustainability, without compromising purpose, people or culture.

Together Business is an Indigenous-led accounting and advisory firm working with First Nations businesses and social enterprises to strengthen financial capability, governance and compliance as they grow. The firm supports leaders to navigate increased accountability and complexity while maintaining clarity, control and confidence in decision-making.
