About the convenor

Nalderun (meaning all together in Djaara language) is an Aboriginal Education Community Organisation based at the foothills of Liyanganyuk Banyul, on Djaara Country. Nalderun works to grow young people strong and proud through connection to Community, Country, and Culture. At the core of its work is the creation of empowering education and employment opportunities for First Nations young people. All of its programs have been designed by First Nations Youth for First Nations youth – as they are the ones who know best. This is part of Nalderun's Cyclical Mentoring philosophy and strengths-based approach that empowers and supports First Nations youth to thrive.
How did this learning community work?
Nalderun hosted three virtual Sharing Circles with First Nations social enterprises that involved First Nations youth in leadership and mentorship roles. These Circles were also open to any First Nations enterprises or individuals interested in supporting youth-leadership and youth-led mentoring work.
